About Us
Disdain was formed in May of 2008 when a group of World of Warcraft players decided to break out on their own and approach the game and raiding from a different angle than their previous guilds were. For the next two years, the guild grew and flourished in the World of Warcraft universe and in September of 2010 it was announced that the guild would take the next logical step and expand from a single game family to a multi-platform gaming community known as “Disdain Gaming”.
Disdain Gaming officially launched in February of 2011 with a new website that was capable of handling all our needs across multiple games and platforms. Each sanctioned game had been designated its own portal complete with specialized menus, forums, news and community managers. Thought we found ourselves rapidly spreading out to multiple games, we took great effort in ensuring our core values and principles remained untouched.
Each new member and officer was reminded that they represent the guild as a whole. No matter what division you were active in, you actions reflect on each and every member, even those participating in different games. Your reputation affects the way our guild mates will be treated by others and it is imperative that you be social, polite and courteous to others. Greed and selfishness will not be tolerated.
As of Today, Disdain has been around the gaming scene for [Years] and [Days]. We take great pride in our name and our accomplishments. Though the games may change, the community will always remain. Never forget that these are games and they’re supposed to be fun. Nothing in a game is worth losing friends over.
